Mr. Vandegrift was a very fine gentleman, one of the nicest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing and calling my friend. He will be sorely missed by everyone that ever knew him. Hey my name is Susan Vandegrift Crawley, after I had read this in the newspaper, I knew that we were kin folks, can anyone fill in some family information! My dad was Benjamin Clyde Vandegrift, he died on June 8, 2002, we had lost our mother 10 months before this happened, she died on August 14, 2001! My daughter lives in Odenville/Margaret area! I'm so sorry for your loss!
