Margie, my sister Brooke pointed this out to me. I am Barbara (Willis), say no more...Your family has a real place in my heart, and I admired your Mom from the very early days in Hawaii Ct. Prayers and comfort to you and family.
I remember Virginia as one of the catalysts for my departure from the Republican party and the reinforcer of my commitment to bringing girls and women to full citizenship in this country. I will be grateful always for her wry wit, clear intellect and warm personality. Thank you for all your contributions, Virginia - you really made a difference!
Sorry to hear of her deaths. I taught with Virginia at Maury many years ago and knew she was a special person.

My deepest sympathy to you the entire family during you hour of bereavement.
Virginia was great lady whom I got to know, and I will cherish every memory we had.

Virginia was an inspiration in every way, from her beautiful sense of humor to her ready words of encouragement and her persistence over time in the pursuit of social justice and fairness in our society. Her warm smile brought sunshine into every encounter. I admired her greatly and will miss her!
