It was with great sadness to hear of the loss of a great civic-minded community member who strongly advocated for the rights of migrant students and parents. I had the privilege of working with her during my years as a migrant counselor in Woodlake. We were very fortunate to be in her company. My deepest condolence and my prayers are with her loving husband and children. God bless the Palomo family.

Don Nieves y familia Palomo-Tadeo, con gran amor y respeto reciban el enorme pesame que sentimos Mercy y yo al enterarnos del fallecimiento de la Sra. Palomo.

I have the fondest memories of all the activities we participated in for the benefit of the students and parents of the Wookdlake Unified School District, including the long series of agenda-planning meetings that we held at the Palomo home--Virginia never failed to feed me to my heart's content!

It was an HONOR to have worked 8 years with this great lady. For many years she served as the President of the Migrant Ed.-Parent Advisory Committee. Sra. Palomo was a great servant of God. When I spoke with her it was always "Si Dios Quiere or Primeramente Dios" .... always God's Will first. She touched many lives and for that she will remain in our HEARTS forever! Virginia will be greatly missed. What a wonderful lady she was. She gave so much to Woodlake and to all Migrants. I will never forget her. May God be with her and her family. She will be always be in my prayers.
