I just learned of the very sad news of Dr. Wesley Boodish passing. Since my children are now grown and over 21 years of age we had not visited his office and I did not know he had passed away. A flood of tears and great memories I have of him. Dr. Boodish was my three children's doctor, Stephen, Brendan and Emily Fletcher and he guided me thoughout their childhood with excellent advice not only from the standpoint of a doctor but a trusted and reliable friend who made my motherhood an easier task knowing he was there and available with hearfelt and expert advice. He never, never made me feel that my questions were not important and treated me, my husband and all of my three children with the utmost respect. My first experience was at St. Barnabus after a very difficult delivery of out first son, Stephen Fletcher. I was an incredibly nervous first time, mother and Dr. Boodish came in, sat down and held our son with such confidence and reassured me that all was going to be alright. He helped me to be a more confient mother, and I can not thank him enough. He will be missed tremendously and I, and the entire Fletcher Family will never forget him. From all of the Fletcher Family...our love and admiration for him and his wife of whom he spoke of very highly.
Oh Dr. Boodish...you were so good, so loving! You will be missed tremendously and we deeply thank you for your kind treatment of our beloved children who you always made feel special. May your spirit live on in joy somewhere!
Dear Boodish family,
It is with deep sadness that we've learned of your loss. Dr. Boodish cared for my children for 23 years - always with a smile, a shared memory, a little joke. He made them feel special (he remembered their hobbies, sports, interests), and no matter what they were presenting with, his ability to soothe their fears was remarkable. Please know our prayers are with you, and we will be forever grateful to have known him.
