Wes was one of my "Uncies". Him and his brothers got the nickname when they came to visit my dad, Ray, in Alaska when I was only 1 or 2. Even though I dont remember that trip dad assured me that I loved all my Uncies. I only saw Wes a few times as I was growing up but the one thing I will remember him for was his last visit to Spokane. He and Aunt Muriel came to dad's memorial service which was kind enough but he let me "see" my dad one last time and I'll always be grateful for that. Even though they had spent most of their lives apart Uncle Wes was so much like my dad in his mannerisms and voice inflections that I felt dad was there too. Even the way he told his stories reminded me of dad and we all know how the Johnson brothers LOVED to tell a story :) Uncle Wes will be missed and my heart goes out to Muriel and the rest of his family.
