Was sad to read this obit. of Bill in the Lincoln Journal...Sonia was my cousin we grew up together in Hamlin, W.Va...lots of childhood memories...lost contact over the years...never knew of her passing until I read this obit....Have some pictures would like to pass on to the family if contacted...email@example.com
My condolences and sympathy go out to Bill's family. Together, we were from West Hamlin, Guyan Valley H.S. and Marshall. Not only were we friends through our teen age years, but during the college time we were room mates. I feel a loss with his passing as our fellow room-mates have also died, Larry Cooper, Sonny Edwards, and our frequent visitor Cliff Cremeans. May God give each of you His peace and blessings. The Bias Family;
I know that nothing anyone may say at a time like this can ease your deep grief; but I pray that your family will soon find lasting comfort in the high regard everyone had for the "Major" and his accomplishments.
I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet your father and the occasion to work with the "Major" during my Coaching tenure at Galveston Ball. The "Major" was very exceptional as the Director of Transportation for the GISD.Your father was sincere, honest, loyal, a patriot and my friend. I shall miss him.
My dear sweet friend Mike, the world was blessed to have your dad give all these years to our country. We are better people for having gentlemen like him as examples. Since I've met you, I see the qualities of giving in you. You did the sweetest most considerate things for your dad. He was blessed to have you & Boo-ba every moment. Such a beautiful loving family... Many prayers to you and Keith. May you be comforted with peace always. Love you!
