Coach Harrington was my Jr. High coach and was a positive influence on me and many others. I had the pleasure and honor to play a few rounds of golf with “coach” over the last 5 years. He was not a big hitter late in life but you dare not challenge him on the greens as he about as good as they come.

Billy was a wonderful friend. Frances and I have so mmany fond memories of double dating with Dot and Billy before we were married. Billy was an outstanding athlete and I imagine an excellent golfer. Many great memories of our many trips between Greenville and Chapel Hill during our college years. Bill will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dot and family at this time of great loss.
