RIP to one of the funniest kids I've ever had the pleasure of spending time with. Alex Eschrich, anybody can say that you were such a nice guy and knew how to make any person smile. This world is an ugly place.

RIP to one of the funniest kids I've ever had the pleasure of spending time with. Alex Eschrich, anybody can say that you were such a nice guy and knew how to make any person smile. Even when I wasn't with you i still would crack up at things you would say at previous occasions. You were such a funny dude. I'll really miss you man.

Every day you're not here is harder and harder. I miss you more than anything and I hope you know how much I love you. I am so grateful for every second I got to spend with you. You will always be my brave little toaster.
Forever and ever I'll love you,

Alex thanks for your encouragement.
Once we went snowmobiling in Mammoth, we split up the kids amongst us and how lucky was I to have Alex as my co-pilot I think he was 12 or 13. At some point I asked him if he wanted to drive (sorry Les) that was the most fun, he drove that thing better than me. On another day we had a ski day planned and I had not skied in years, I was so afraid I forgot how to ski and was worried I would fall trying to get off the lift. Upon getting off the lift successfully he looked at me and said see? You will be fine. He stayed with me the whole way down the mountain gracefully snowboarding as I plowed my way down the mountain. I had my own little snow angel giving me the courage I needed with the added, see, I told you so. On another trip to Lake Powell, I was just learning to wake board and not so successfully either. It was late in the day, everyone had gone out earlier; I procrastinated all day to avoid the face plants that were inevitable. Uncle Rob said it's your turn and I declined, Alex stood up and said you have to do it, I was like no, you go, this went on for a few minutes until Alex said to me, you can do it, just get in, and then stated that we were not going to start the boat until I did, he said we will just sit here. Well the water was glass and I had the best ride I ever had to that point because of Alex's persistent encouragement. In the water I remember looking up at him and hearing him say…see you can do it, with that beautiful smile of his.
Alex, you are a gentle soul who has left footprints on all of our hearts with your kindness.
Thank you for being my friend, you always made everything more fun. I will miss you in my heart but will see your smile every day of my life and hear your encouraging words to just do it. My love to you always and forever.

I was blessed to be Alex's “Nauntie” for 23 years and thanks to my wonderful sister Leslie, I was allowed in the delivery room when Alex was born – a gift words cannot express. While I'm so sad the Lord called Alex home so soon, I'm so grateful that I knew him and was blessed with his love and presence. Alex, you are and always will be one of the great joys of my life and I know you're making the angels in heaven smile just as you did all of us here on earth. Thank you for allowing me to be your Aunt, your Godmother and your friend – I love you more than words can say and will miss you everyday until we're all together again.
