Zeb was a good uncle and in many ways was like a second father when I was young growing up with Roger and Richard. Every holiday, camping, Boy Scouts, fishing and hunting trips always had our families together enjoying life. You have a wonderful family and a legacy of friends to be admired. Zeb you will always be missed but forever remembered... I can still hear your laugh and that trademark "whistle". God bless.

Uncle Zeb, where do I begin. So many happy memories! The memorial service was wonderful - he was smiling on us that day! Roger & Richard you both are wonderful men who have made your parents proud. Take care of your Mom and remember we will see him again one day where there will be no sorrow, pain or suffering. Love Your Cousin, Karen

Zeb, a true friend and neighbor. So many great times were enjoyed together.
We will miss Zeb's presence among us but his memory will live in our
hearts forever. God bess him.

Bacon family and friends,
I want to thank all of you who came and supported us in this time of sadness and loss. I wish that I had possessed the abililty to demonstrate the strength, courage, and, character he worked so hard to teach to me over my life, to tell all of you just what my father meant to me during Saturday's service. This will have to suffice.

My father was a lot of things to a lot of people. You could not help but like him. He made you smile. You could count on him to help you if you called, anywhere, anytime. He was a good listener, didnt talk over you or down to you. If you had a problem he would help you fix it but he didnt have alot of patience for hand wringing or feeling sorry for yourself. For me as a young boy growing up it seemed there was nothing he couldn't do or fix. He was firm and fair. He gave me the freedom and the confidence to grow. He didnt judge me or give up on me no matter how much I screwed things up. He was always there to pick me up when I fell, or motivate me when I wanted to quit.

If, in spite of myself, I am able to positively impact so many people in my life as he did I will feel blessed. If I dont, then it wont be his fault for he taught me well and I will have known better.

God take you and keep you, Dad. I will see you soon when my time here is done.

So proud of you Dad, you did a wonderful job raising a great family. I only hope to be half the man you were. I miss you every day.
