Mildred L. "Millie" Breeze, 80, of Minong passed away on Monday, June 10, at Spooner Health Systems.
Millie was born on November 3, 1932, to John H. and Genevieve (Wellen) Fradette in Whitehall, Wisconsin. She resided in Radisson, Haugen, Warrens, and Cassville, during her early years. She graduated, Valedictorian, in 1950 from Minong High School where her father was the principal. Millie married her high school sweetheart, Stanley C. Breeze, in White Lake, Wisconsin on November 17, 1951. They moved to Milwaukee, then to Pewaukee in 1961, Dousman, Wisconsin in 1976, Wascott in 1987, and Minong in 1997. She was a proud homemaker and raised three daughters and ten foster children. She was a member of the Rosemary Rebekah Lodge in Minong, and Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong, where she served on committees and boards, and helped with both the quilting and card making projects. She played the piano and organ for services at both the Minong Presbyterian Church and later at Calvary Lutheran Church. She also played the piano for sing-alongs at the Minong Senior Center as well as playing piano at many area nursing homes, and volunteered for the Unit on Aging and Food Pantry.
Millie is survived by: her husband of over 61 years, Stanley, two daughters, Christine (Leonard) Cwikla of Lublin, WI, and Kathy Breeze of Minong, two grandchildren, Jesse (Heather) Campbell and Ian Campbell, five great-grandchildren; Dawson, Aydin, Asher, Kiptyn, and Kynli, one brother, Jim (Diann) Fradette of Helena, MT, one sister, Mary (Doug) Gibson of Rockford, IL, one sister-in-law, Joan (Marvin) Johnson of Minong, and six nephews and one niece. She was preceded by, her parents, one daughter, Valerie Breeze-Bucholz, one son-in-law, Michael Bucholz, and one sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie (Larry) Leinen.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 6 at 11 am at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong with Pastor Sara Pearson officiating. The family requests that those attending the service wear clothing that is not black. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will be held at the Wascott Cemetery at a later date.

I was so surprised to see Millie's obit here. I knew her when I was in High School in Minong and her Dad was Principal. She was a great girl.
