As a close childhood friend of Jerry when the family lived on Brower street in Memphis I have many fond memories of our mischievous adventures together. It was evident that Jerry was an honorable, loving person even during his formative teen years. I am very grateful to have known him and I benefited from our friendship.

Saddened to learn of this fine gentleman's passing. I clearly recall how both supportive and appreciative Jerry was during high school years toward those of us who perhaps spent more time on the bench than on the court or playing field! He was a positive influence and seemed to brighten any place he happened to be. God's blessings and peace to his family and his many friends.

To the Daniel family, it was a sudden shock at his passing, even though we haven't seen each other since high school, we kept in touch with one liners. He was/is a great person, and I am very sorry for your loss. Our condolences to the family and all that knew him.
God Bless.

Craig and family. I just finished looking at the photo album. What a fun loving guy! I got a glimpse of that when he visited you in Hutchinson. You and your family were blessed with this special guy. But you knew that already. I pray God's blessing of comfort for all those touched by this man of God.

Diane,

I am so sad to hear of Jerry's passing. I played softball with him in our college days. I will always remember his smile and laughter. He was a friend to everyone he met. He was a one of a kind person who seemed to never have an enemy. He always valued people and relationships. He will be missed. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dianne,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. I remember stories that you shared of him when I was in your bible study class. I know that he was such a good husband, father and grandfather. I am praying for you and your family. I have admired you so much and the leadership you have provided so much to women in bible study and at the Moriah House. I pray for someone to step in for you and be as strong as you have been for so many!
Love,
Ashley Somogyi

Diane and family, Jerry touched so many lives in so many ways. His contagious smile, his kindness to all, his deep concern for others are just a small portion of all of the attributes one could say about Jerry. I have known him since elementary school, and he has always been the heart and soul of everything he touched. May your memories of this extraordinary man lift you up and give you some peace. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. We love you all and are praying for you while you navigate through this very difficult time.

Diane, we grieve with you and your family during this time, trusting that the great hope of the gospel will be a constant strength for you. We're thankful for Jerry's faithfulness through the years, his contagious joy in Christ, and the beautiful way that all of you have shown the gospel through your lives. We remember well the encouragement that you and Jerry gave to us three decades ago in planting a church. Karen and I are praying for you.
