James Linton Harbin Sr., 91, of Winter Springs, FL, passed away on July 14, 2017. He was born in Orlando, FL on September 14, 1925. He was a professional meat cutter for over 40 years and prior to Publix, he worked with local food chains in Orlando and Washington D.C. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and served in all war threats during World War II. He served on the Board of Directors for Wedgewood Golf Villas Homeowners Association and the Board of Directors of the city of Winter Springs Beautification Board.
He is survived by his wife Edna Racha Harbin of 68 years; son James Linton Harbin, Jr. and wife; two grandchildren, Patrick R. Harbin and wife, and Stacey Harbin Jones and husband; and 4 great grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Harbin Nicolella and Mamie Mills, and cousins Doyle Harbin, and Jean Canada.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm and Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10am at Baldwin Fairchild Ivanhoe Chapel. 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando, FL 32804. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in James' name to your favorite charity.
