June Seifert Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 18, 2017.

June A. Seifert, 89, of Ozark, AL, passed away on Wednesday, 13 December 2017 at Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation where she had resided since February 2017. She was born on August 3, 1928, in Bethlehem, PA.

June patrolled the square in Ozark as a parking officer retiring on March 1, 2001 after 18 years of service in the Ozark Police Department. Both business owners and their patrons knew her as the parking enforcer as well as a good friend willing to lend an ear to listen.

June had a passion for life, visiting and socializing with friends on the square and a love for her deceased husband, John Drew Seifert, which transcended time.

June was preceded in death by her husband, John Drew Seifert, sons, Johnny Lester Seifert of Huntsville, AL and Wayne Klaugh of Florida and one grandson, Paul Badger of Atlanta, GA.

She is survived by daughters Jo Ann Albertelly of Miami, FL and Darlene Badger of Acworth, GA, and three grandchildren, Kim Lutz of Acworth, GA, Anthony Albertelly of Miami, FL and John Drew Seifert II of Madison, AL.

Visitation will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home, Ozark, AL, starting at 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service, performed by Pastor Phil Craddock, at 2:30 and then procession to Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Ozark, AL, where she will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of June A. Seifert to the Ozark Police Department.

June and John were always Nanny and Pa to my children two doors down the street. They treated us like family and we loved them as our own.

We will miss June but I know she is happy with her loved ones in heaven and she is waiting for us there.

My prayers and thoughts to the family during this time of the loss of their beloved June. I know she is in the arms of God and blessed to be with her true love John and two sons. She will be missed by me and many. I have known June for the past 45+ years, 20 of them as her neighbor on the street named after her husband. We shared many memories of the old days on our porches, go shop and eat out, or even go in our pjs and robe to get a ice cream cone at Sonic. She was there to comfort me during the loss of my parents, she knew as well. She became like a second mom to me. I will hold those days close to my heart. Heaven has gained another angel. Love and miss you.
