Margaret Weston Obituary
WESTON, MARGARETE "MARGE" Grass Lake, MI
Age 87, died Friday, February 10, 2012 in Chelsea. She was born December 8, 1924 in Gross Zimmern, Germany, the daughter of Martin and Julia (Heim) Hechler. Marge was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Chelsea. She was a homemaker who loved yard work, gardening, flower gardens, house plants. She liked to knit, crochet, sew, and bake. Marge enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, special friends, and hosting family events. She and Dick bowled at Chelsea Lanes for many years. On September 1, 1947, she married Carl Richard Weston and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Wendy (James) Hava of Chelsea; a daughter-in-law, Janis Weston; 7 grandchildren, Dawn (Kevin) Newman, Richard M. Weston, Martin (Nicky) Shepherd, Beth (Toby) Shepherd, Melanie (Bryan Varrato) Hava, Kevin Proctor, Kristopher Hava; 9 great-grandchildren, Shelby Shepherd, Richard Newman, Kenneth Newman, Justin Corkern, Raiden Weston, Martin T. Shepherd Jr., Erik Shepherd, Raven Weston, and Chase Varrato; and 4 nieces and nephews, Cindy, Stephen, Bruce, & Robert. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Shepherd in December, 2006, and a son, Wayne in September, 2007. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Jim Coyl officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 pm. A private burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea First Congregational Church or the American Cancer Society.

Words just cannot express how much of a wonderful woman she was. I will always treasure her words of wisdom and the many hours of long talks when I visited, of which I will keep to my heart always and forever. I know you're good hands now and you'll truly be missed.

I appreciated my Aunt for the fine example of a person she was, who made our family time so "important" and special to all of us.
Most of all, I'll miss the candor,love, compassion and wisdom she shared with me throughout my life.
