All of my sympathy goes out to the Wright family during this time of great loss, Peacefully rest Lightning you will be missed by all who loved you. Now you are in your new home with the gang My Bertie, Mom, Megin. You are all back together again. I am going to miss your phone calls every 2 weeks.I will miss your hours of wise knowledge that at times realy didnt make much sense but it was ok because it was from you. You were a great guy you were always there for all of us. We laughed we cried we talked we took trips we would meet you in AC. The whole time we had a ball just all of us being together down the shore. We are all saddened with your passing but we will keep you close to our hearts forever. "Time to make the donuts"! You were always good to me. You took good care of my mother & You have cheated death with a massive heart attack that required surgery But you popped back up. Well this time there was no popping back. I will never forget you. You were a great step Dad and a friend. Love & miss you Vicky

I had only known you for the last ten years but I quickly grew close. I miss you like my own grandpa too! Its surreal that we lost you when you only just got to Florida this last year. . . Thanks for loving my daughter so, you both would always light up seeing each other. It was such an uplifting thing to watch! ... your grin emerging under your full mustache. Im glad the two of them got to spend the precious times together they did.

Lightning's insatiable spirit to share stories and make the funniest conversations will always be remembered by me most. His off color jokes to me would always make me wanna explode in laughter even when the situation would expect otherwise, his soft loving squint at me candidly told it how it is and I always admired that!

Though many may not see the connection or not believe, Ive seen such incredible things in my life to compel me NOT to ignore such events. So for what its worth : It was so wild to me when only moments after the accident at lunch Aunt Karen noticed a gentlemen that stunningly looked exactly like you; both in mannerisms and the glance back at us smiling. I can see it in slow-motion even now. The topic of discussion quickly changed to happy thoughts of you wondering how you were when only minuets later we received the call and news. I am certain this was your way reaching us to tell thers is no quell with events at hand. I am at peace knowing youare with Grandma now, you missed her so youve told me. I am confident you are ok with all and you are happy we were together as family celebrating how you touched our lives, even before we new the situation.

...as you said to me so many times as you would prepare to go...
"We'll talk at 'ya later"

You and I had a special bond Grandpa I was shocked to get the news its like my heart broke all over again! I was sad that you had to move and we werent able to visit that much this last year but am very happy we were always in touch by phone etc....I am especially grateful now for your heart attack a few years ago crazy I know but because of that I came out and stayed with you for those 3-4 months to help you and Grandma and that time I had is very special to me. Thank you for always going out of your way and for your great outlook on life. I will keep you close to my heart and share stories with Aaralyn of her great Grandpa & Grandma so she will feel some sort of closeness to you all as well. I hate to say it but "I guess its time to make the donuts" ! Love you and Miss you
