Daniel Mescher Obituary
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville and was a concrete contractor for 20 years. He was a 1988 graduate of Yuba City High School.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Holly M. Mescher, his son, Jonathan Mescher his brother, Dennis Mescher, and parents Cheryl and Daniel R. Mescher Sr., all of Yuba City and his grandson, Landon Charles Paplanus of Carmichael, as well as numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jack & Alvina Mescher and Robert & Orlena Beever and his aunt Carol Noia.
Danny had a love for life and lived it to the fullest. His love for his family and friends were unconditional.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, with Father Xavier Godwin and Father Soane Kaniseli officiating.
Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to Sutter North Hospice, 400 Plumas St., #115, Yuba City, CA 95991.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lipp and Sullivan Funeral Directors.

Holly and family, I did not know Danny personally but heard of him often through friends. I recently lost my husband in the same manner and know only too well what your family has been through. Know he is finally free and smiling down at the angels on earth that helped him through his ordeal.

I just read the many tributes for Danny and obviously there isn't much I can add. I met Danny when he was in kindergarten and our neighbor just down the street. He was a special friend to so many and so very brave to go through what he had to go through. To Holly, Cheryl, Dan and Dennis we send our deepest condolences and sympathy. Danny will never be forgotten!

“DANNY” Hard work, big smile, big heart, ready to help! Loving father, devoted husband, true friend. Seems like the good ones go far too soon. My hopes you will hook up with Cody and he will show you around. You two both loved Mother Nature and Hunting and fishing were your common love. Memories of you come forth in the breeze, while on the ridge at first morning light, waiting for that Bull to bugle.

Holly and the whole Mescher family. If life is a book, one of the best chapters is now complete. I will miss Dan but I am so thankful we did so much together and had so much fun. One can't help to think that being such a nice guy, God must have a plan for him. Dan, I will miss you and never forget you. I love you Dan tha Man!!

Danny I want you to know that i thank you, for being a friend, a mentor, the memory of you will live on in the lives of the people you knew and touched by your presence. You were a man amongst men. I know Danny was a great man but he was also a lucky man. Very few are lucky to have the love of a beautiful wife such as you Holly. I know how hard it was to watch the man you love, and planned to spend old age with, slowly waste away. But you did everything you could to make his life full to the end! Our sympathy goes out to Holly,Dan,Cheryl,Dennis and the whole Mesher family. We understand no measure of sympathy nor can anything be said to ease your grieving. However please take what solace you can from knowing that Danny was a good man with a Big Grin 'most the time smiling at me because I screwed something up'. I guess I was luckier than most to have grown up across the street and to have had the honor of knowing Danny. Mesh you will be missed.

I have so many memories growing up together... door bell ditching, kick the can, raising heck in school, playing in "the pumps", partying together at the river bottoms, trips to the lake. I will hold those close to my heart.

Danny was such a special man. He enriched so many people's lives with his smile and good natured joking. He had a unique ability to love people for what was inside and was very much loved in return. He will be missed for sure but always remembered for the positivity he lived his life with.
