Happy 43rd Heavenly Birthday Sassy ! I know you are in heaven partying !! Your birthday was always special to you & every holiday was a festive day for you. You loved celebrating the holidays..cooking and decorating making your surroundings so beautiful and enjoyable. I still remember how your decorated your entire outside of your house as a Christmas present !! it was amazing !!! when I pulled up to your house and to see the only house on the block looking like a GIANT PRESENT !! It lifted my spirits and got me into the holiday cheer !! you made EVERYBODY you came into contact with smile. I smile everytime I think of you !! I Miss You So Much Sis!!

Hi Sis... I just wanted to write some thoughts down. I renewed this site for another year, they notify you ever year to renew your memorial for your loved one. I can't believe this is my 2nd renewal..meaning two years has passed since we lost your beautiful presence in our lives. You are not here in the physical form but your memories that you left will impact our lives forever. I miss you Sassy. May 2nd 201ur was your 42nd birthday and in celebration of your life, the kids and I each wrote a message to you on red (your favorite color) heart shaped balloons. It felt good celebrating your life with your nieces and nephew. The kids miss you alot as well, ever though you Rayahnna never had the pleasure of meeting you, she cried for you, just by hearing the way we talked about you and the person you were, it's like she could feel the spirit of you, just by the way we explain the loveable aunt, mother, wife and sister you were. She would've LOVED you Sassy, I know you would've loved her too. I plan on celebrating your life as long as the air I breathe. I still can't believe you are gone, still like a nightmare I can't wake from. I know I have to go on, but I have you in my heart and soul sis and that is something that keeps me going. :0)

Hey Sassy... I was thinking of you (as I always do) mostly in the car on my way home, there is always a song that reminds me of you and I can go back to that time with you and start to cry.. Recently "Heavy D" passed and it made me think of you.. You LOVED that song with "Heavy D & SupaCat" that was yours girl...I can see you blasting it in the car on our way to Hempstead or to the city!! You was SO MUCH FUN to be around!! It has been 5 months and 28 days since my life changed. The lord took his child and change my view of death. I have been comforted by the sister I study with that you have given the ultimate sacrifice for our sins; which is death; she said that is the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE that we all must endure for Adam sinning in the garden of Eden. Jehovah has taken his child and that is comforting to my heart BUT your abscense is hurting to my spirit. I don't know what to do. I prayed that you would come in my dreams, and you did!!! you seem so happy and the same "full of life" person that you are, and that has calmed my soul, for right now. I will be praying that you come in my dream again, and again, and again....if that is the only way I can see and hear you, MAY ALL MY DREAMS HAVE YOU!!!! I LOVE YOU SASSY!!!

Marquee was with us for the summer and now he is back in Georgia starting school, I feel so sad that he is starting the school year without you, I know you would have him in the hottest gear and sneakers and I want to keep that tradition on your behalf. Who is Sassy? In the dictionary it defines the word Sassy as: Lively and spirited; jaunty; stylish and chic. It is also the name of an African tree used for construction and having a bark that yields a poison. As I ponder on this definition, I find that it describes my sister to a tee! When Sassy arrived she livened up the party, her presence was felt at all times, she turned distress into peace and laughter. She refused to allow anger, jealousy and envy to gravitate into her space. She was like "Big Momma" the mother of any community, home and family. She used her gift of cooking to be the "Soul Food" to bond, congregate and bring joy to the people in her circle. She was tough when she had to be, and when it involved her family, she was there at the drop of a dime! Her LOVE of getting to know and love people as individuals, never judging them for their mistakes, I so admired. If ever there walked a PHENOMENAL WOMAN that was SASSY. She taught me the strength of a woman, the inner and outer beauty of self, and the courage to live life to its fullest capabilities no matter what obstacles are put before you. My LOVE for you is IMMEASURABLE.

Sassy, I don't know where to start...I will never forget the day we met. It was the day after I moved in next door to you...and you were the first person to welcome me and my children to our new life in Atlanta! You knew that all my family was back home in Chicago, so you became my new family--you took care of Tierra and Tre' as if they were your own--(no matter how many crazy shifts I worked) and I love you so much for that! I'll never forget ALL the good times (too many to name)...eating African food (which you cooked so well) and watching those crazy African movies :) I'll never forget our card parties, late nights hanging out on the porch,sharing my car...(it was a little "bucket" but we made it work didn't we?)...I would get mad when you brought the car back on "E" but you wouldn't let me stay mad for long...:) I will miss you so much Sassy, but I will forever hold you in my heart!! A very close friend who became my sister....and I will NEVER forget you....I love you Sassy :) **RIP**
