Having the ability to make the world a better place simply by being in it is a gift given to a select few. I feel so lucky that you chose to share a little of that gift with me. I can't put into words how much I hate the fact that you're gone, but that's my problem, and I'll figure out a way to deal with that eventually. In the mean time, I'll do my best to follow your lead by trying to make the world a little bit brighter one person at a time.
To the Pyle family, I can't thank you enough for sending someone as wonderful as Holly out into the world. I doubt there is anything I can say that can put a dent in your sadness. Just know that there are people all over the world that are thinking about you during this difficult time.

Compassion and humility are human qualities that are quickly becoming obsolete. You were the exception. For the duration of our friendship those qualities radiated from your persona.
Your fearlessness was always something to marvel at. You would constantly remind me to live in the moment... It pains me; to think that it takes me losing you to understand your point.
I will reluctantly accept your departure, but I will grasp and retain the memories we shared and take them with me every step of our journey.

We had the pleasure of meeting Holly when she was a student at Georgia Southern and visited with us in Atlanta with our son Jared. She was such a lovely girl in so many ways and a pleasure to be around. We are all still heartbroken and shaken by the devasting news. Nothing I say or do can ease your pain. My heart is broken. I loved Holly. She was one very special woman. She touched so many lives with a positive influence. Holly truly made a difference in this not-so-happy world. The condolences I see on her Facebook page are a testament of what a true caring, compassionate person she was. She was an earth angel, and now heavens angel. I am so very proud to be in the same family as she was. I only hope I can touch as many people in my life as she did in hers. Holly, I attacked your facebook wall with 4 posts yesterday because facebook won't allow more than 1,000 characters-I know you would say the same thing I was thinking-I can't sum up our friendship and how much I am going to miss you in 1,000 characters! I have not stopped thinking about you and maybe it is finally settling in. I just keep checking your facebook, thinking I'll see something about you coming home or seeing some more wild travel pictures from your adventures. I am getting the ring you got me from costa rica a few years ago fixed today, I can finally stop being the poor college student you once knew me as and afford the superglue!
