I remembered that as a substitue teacher, the kids did not listen nor give you much respect on your first week. However, your winning personality and determination won everyone over, including the disrespectful students. There was nowhere you could be alone for long because all the kids would flock to you in the hallways, gym and cafeteria. Thank you for never giving up Mr.Dansby, very well known as "SUPER D!!!" The following is a joke you told about your shoes being so polished and shined. The kids said, "Hey Mr. Dansby your shoes are really shiny. Super D there is not a spot on them!!!!" You politely said thank you but the kids kept on talking about your spotless shoes. So this is what you said, "You know what?? If a fly landed on my shoe, it would slide right off and break it's neck!!!" The kids fell out laughing. Thank you, thank you and thank you!!!!

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved uncle and brother-in law. William Dansby lived a long, productive life; always willing to go that extra mile to help someone. He imparted wisdom from the Bible and knowledge of the family's history as well as history of the world. He was always in the teaching mode. We will surely miss him. May he rest in the peace. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

We will always remember you Super D! The best substitute teacher EVER! You always shared jokes, laughs and smile with US. I last saw you at Publix about 5 years ago. You were still the same then as you were 15 years before.
