My condolences to his family, I had him as a teacher at NSJH and he made science interesting to me. I good teacher.
I had Mr. Edelshon in 1977. What a kind and wonderful teacher. I remember having a science experiment where we were suppose to place a plant in darkness to determine the effect. Unfortunately I did not take the time for the experiment and decided if I froze the plant it would at least look like I did something. I remember being nervous and without missing a beat he smiled and said that looks like it was frozen and went on to another student. He didn't embarrass me, but yet let me know I was not getting anything over on him. A gem of a guy. My condolences to his family.
Mr. Edelsohn once told me in his 7th grade science class in the 1960s... "You'll go far in life, because you show so much enthusiasm in my science class" He was so right..I've been working in the Directorate of Science & Technology at the CIA for over 35 years. Thank you for showing me how to use a Bunts and Burner. Rest in Peace Mr. E.
I HAD MR EDELSOHN in 7th at north he made school seem great. 2 weeks ago i had him in my mind.I WILL miss him.
My sympathies to the family. I grew up with his daughter Carol and always had the pleasure of seeing him often. He was such a wonderful man.
I had the fortune of having Mr. Edelsohn as my 7th grade science teacher at NSJH in 1962. He did an experiment every day as we watched in awe. We all looked forward to his class and his excellent teaching methods. He made learning fun.
Dear Renee: I am so sad to hear of Alfie's death. I had heard they were living in Fla. and so was not aware that they were here in the Philadelphia area. My sympathies to you and Mitzi. Lila
I've known Mr. Edelsohn since I was a child. He worked with my Dad in the insurance business for a number of years. I wish Mrs. Edelsohn and the family comfort in their loss,
I remember him fondly from North Scranton Junior High when I attended in 1978.
