Tony "The Chief" Balazic will always be missed on our FTJ Wii bowling team. I remember him particularly for teaching me the lesson of "persistence" as he never gave up on a game even though he was challenged by one task in particular while bowling. If he failed at first, he kept trying until he achieved success. I will try to take that lesson to heart - daily.
He was a fantastic resident and friend. The ceremony on Thursday was wonderful!
(Great-)Uncle Tony, may you now be surrounded by your family and friends, along with lots of Casino games and rumikub players! <3
We will be unable to attend Tony's services, but certainly send our condolences to the family. Tony was one of the best officers that I worked for, and I will always remember him fondly.
Thank YOU for your service and for keeping our Country free. Wish we had more individuals who loved this Country enough to serve to keep our FREEDOM!!!
I met Tony on June 1, 1960, my first day as a Bremerton Firefighter. He was my captain and just happened to originate a few miles from my home town in Montana. We instantly bonded and continued as a lifelong friend since that day. I am so sorry to lose such a great friend but much richer with a great memory. Maryann, Linda, and Arlene my condolences in your loss as well. He is happy with Audrey now.
