Like everyone, I am saddened to hear of Bennett's death. I read him as an graduate student, taught his work as a professor, and was glad to count him as a CIC colleague. He is the only person I have dined with who sent back 3 bottles of wine as unacceptable. He also influenced my teaching in more ways than I can count. A tall tree has fallen in the music education forest.

He was influential to countless educators around the country. He will be sorely missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you work through this difficult time!
