I just found out Mrs. Blackmon passed away. I will always remember the encouragement she gave me, when we were young. One image that sticks to me is the "painting" she made using the Avon sample lipsticks as the paint. Such a sweet lady. God bless her!
Heartfelt condolences to Bob and family in this time of ultimate sorrow. Lew was such a special, talented lady and had many friends here in Mahomet, Illinois. We treasure all the wonderful memories...Roger and Donna Kirkwood
Our sincerest condolence to everyone. Very pretty lady.
Frank and Toni and family, sorry for your loss.
Grandma Lew was such an amazing woman who dedicated her life to the love and care of others. I looked forward every year to the phone calls and Christmas Cards. I will always treasure all the photos and hold all of the special memories close to my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, to my Uncle Bruce, and my father Frank Blackmon.
Lew was always in our hearts over the years. She was a dear person and wonderful grandmother to Stephanie and Ryan. We are thankful to have been a part of her life.
Betty and I were friends for a long.long time. She lived on Oak street, and I lived on Sunset. There are many memories that I will treasure always. She loved my Mother's waffles and pickled peaches. She knew that a quart of those peaches would always be waiting for her when she came home. She took such loving care of her Mother for many years. Betty was a wonderful
person, and I'm glad to have had the privilege of knowing her. My love and sympathy to Bob and all of Betty's family.
