Charlie was a good friend and neighbor at Big Sky. We enjoyed his visits over coffee and hearing about the cowboy and ranching life he loved. He was one of a kind--stood tall in the saddle in all aspects--and we will miss him. Our heartfelt condolences.

Leslie, Matt, Kristina, and family-
We are very sorry for your loss. I am sorry we were unaware of Charlie's passing until today, or we'd have come to the services. Charlie was a great guy, one I'll gladly call a friend as well as a great customer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Take care all of you.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
To Matt: We just saw each other at my Mother's memorial back in November. It was nice to talk to you even if it was only briefly. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you and and your family are able to take care of each other during this time.
One of the most beautiful and heartfelt funerals I have ever had the honor to attend. What an amazing job Matt did delivering his dad's eulogy. So fitting and sincere. All our thought and prayers are with the Pierson family.
To Charlie's family - please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Although Charlie and I didn't always see the world through the same lens, we shared a deep appreciation for the most important things in life - friendships, freedom and wild country. I will never forget Charlie's kind and generous spirit. He was one of my heroes.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.
Matt and family so sorry for your loss. Charlie was such a strong and proud man. He was always so good to my Mom and Dad and all of their kids and grandkids. He will be deeply missed. Just keep all those loving memories in your heart and he will always be with you.
To: Charlie's family. I had the distinct privilige of having Charlie serve as one of my platoon leaders during the period of 1967-1968 when I was the CO of the 151st Trk Company. Although some 46 years have passed since my last encounter with Charlie, I can see by reading his obituary and the thoughts of his friends, that his love of life and willingness to share with others had never diminished. I shall always treasure his thoughts, kindness and especially his willingness to accomplish the tasks given to us under some trying circumstances.

Dear Leslie - I have so enjoyed the stories that Kitty has shared over the years as well as the ride shared when you came and visited! I hope you will come to Minnesota again for a trail ride. You are in my thoughts- Love
Matt and all, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Although I never had the good fortune of meeting Charlie, it's obvious he led a full and wonderful life and if he was anything like Matt, it would have been an honor to call him a friend. Blessings and prayers from my family to yours.
Matt & family
We extend our sympathy to you at this tough time. It was a pleasure to have met your dad through Chad, they will both be deeply missed. Take care & you are in our prayers.
You live next door to someone and you never really take the time to know them. They are just part of your life and a voice in the wind. We waved on the road in passing, said,"Hi, how are ya?" on the street, but never touched at all, even to shake hands.
Then, last spring Charlie hugged me; a really good hug with some heart in it. He didn't say anything, but I knew then & there we had just said a silent good-bye. It was just his way. Our thoughts & prayers to Matt, Leslie, Bob & your families. We're just around the corner if you need anything; anything at all.
Charlie was a fine man, one whom I liked very much and respected. I especially admired his quiet demeanor which indicated confidence and hard work. We will miss him very much.
There are no words of comfort I can offer that haven't been said...but many prayers and love are being sent your way. I know he is in a better place....but for us selfish motals that doesn't make it any easier for the loved ones left behind. I wish you all peace in God's love and the healing power that it brings.
Leslie, Matt and family, Bob and family, hired men and volunteer cowboys: It is with great sadness to see one of the best called home so soon. Charlie always sat tall in the saddle, loved his family, his ranch and his cattle. His legacy will be carried on at Highland Livestock. It is the many gatherings and trailing cattle to and from the West Boulder, the brandings and working cattle in the corrals at the home place with Charlie's direction that I will always remember. God Bless you Charlie Pierson, your friend and volunteer cowboy,
We are sorry for your loss. Leslie, Matt and families
We are sorry for your loss, Prayers for Leslie and family, Charlie will surely be missed by all. God Bless
I haven't seen Charlie in over 40 years, and then only for a few hours during a busy day at his ranch. I actually remember him as my much taller, slightly younger, cousin at about age 6 or 7. We were very close then, and I know that he grew up to be the man that his entire family, both close and extended, could be proud of. I will always think of him as the grown up cowboy we played as kids. I wish I would have kept in touch over the years. There's hindsight for you. Best wishes to the family. Our daughter is named after his first wife, Whitney
I am so sorry for your loss.
