I heard Charles speak about his time as a pow during the war, it's men like this that makes me proud to be an American.
When we lived in Camden we sat behind Mr. Charles and Ms. Jerry at Cullendale First Baptist. They were really nice people. Mr. Charles always had a comment about something that would make us smile. Prayers for the family at this difficult time.
Dear Charlene and family,
I hope the sweet memories and the fact he was a true Christian sustain you through the difficult days ahead. You are in my prayers.
With utmosy sympathy.

Good Friend to me and my family who always had something funny to say. There are many memories and I have some of them.
We've lost a very good friend & long time church member. Loved watching him pitch on the church softball team. He was a good sport in many ways & will always be remembered.
Charlene, I have such great memories of you Dad. He was a wonderful example of a Christian leader when we were at Second Baptist Church in Camden. I will always remember a fishing trip that we took to White Oak Lake while we were in high school. Charles took Gary Bostic, Don Ables and me for a week end trip of fishing and talking. It stormed that night and we sat in the tent and talked all night long. Wonderful memories. I pray that as the days and weeks pass the sadness will ease and you will remember more and more the joy of him as your Dad. God bless your family.
Eternal rest grant unto Charles, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
We are so sorry to hear the loss of your uncle. Our thought and prayers are with you during this time.

Charlene,so sorry to hear about your Dad. May God comfort you in this time of loss. Louise Johnston Barrett
Thinking of you & your family, what a kind & friendly person your dad was, he will be greatly missed by all, my prayers are with you.
Charlene, I have always had a special place in my heart for your sweet dad. Loved your mom, too, but he reminded me of my daddy, something about what good Christian fathers they were, how they put God first , then family ,then country. We will miss him so much but he will always be remembered fondly. He's enjoying his heavenly forever home now. We have to be happy for that! Love, Theresa
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
Deepest sympathy to your family during this time of sadness. Your family lived next to us on Truman/Camark in Love Addition. We lost my mother in January, Priscilla Wagnon, and when going thru old pictures see some neighborhood pictures with your Dad in them. Keeping you in my prayers.
I am so very sorry to hear of Mr. Wilson's passing. I respected him so much, and he always had a kind word and smile for me and everyone else at church. During my junior year of high school, my friends and I requested to interview him for a class project; he graciously agreed and shared his wartime experiences with us. I will never forget that.
I had the honor of teaching Charles in our Sunday School class for the last year or so. He always had a kind word, a big smile, and a hearty handshake for me and for his classmates. He will be sorely missed.
Charlene & Family,
Thinking of you...
