On behalf of the Acadiana (Louisiana) Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Associaiton, we offer our sincerest condolences to the family of Chester Aszklar. We didn't know him, but we know that he was a great American hero who helped win WWII and therefore our own continued liberty and safety.

In the 82nd Airborne Association, Chester could be counted on to always be there, always have a smile and never let you down. His absence was always noticed and he was never far from our thoughts. Rest easy trooper, you've earned it.

Chester was a beloved member of the Chicago Chapter, 82nd Airborne Division Association and real American Hero. He served in H/504th PIR from 1942-45, had a combat jump into Sicily, and fought in Italy.

He will be truly missed by his Airborne Family. Fair winds and soft landings, Chester. Airborne, All The Way!
