I wish I could have known Bud longer, but these few years that I did have with him and Bibbi, our seatmates at the Oxford United Methodist Church, will be cherished. How refreshing to see them at church or elsewhere in the area and always cheerful. Then, without fail, Bud had a comment to offer from his quick wit. Only recently did I realize that Bud and my dad were both Marines in the Pacific islands, and now I see they came from the Pittsburgh area, too. Maybe they knew each other. Oh, well, they can check that out now. Semper fi, gentlemen. What an honor to have known another such distinguished person from that generation. May God continue to bless you with his peace.

Mrs. Williamson, Lisa, and Erik,
All my memories of Dr. Williamson, from the time I was a small child to the day I was graduated from Miami and beyond, are warm and pleasant ones. Dr. Williamson always had a smile and a kind word for all. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My father John and my brother Dave share in my sympathy.

We are so sad to hear of your loss. Your Dad was always to kind to us. Your house was always so open to the huge herd of teenage girls. It meant so much to me! What happy memories.

Mrs. Williamson, Lisa and Erik:

Your former neighbors in Lakeside sorrowfully note with sadness and fond memories the passing of your Husband and Father, Dr. Williamson. (I've always respected him too much to, even now, call him by his first name.)
He always had a good word and a ready smile. His rye wit and wisdom was often apparent in just a passing comment.
May his memory always be with you and help to guide you in the days to come.
May God give him Rest and Joy in His Kingdom.

I've known, respected, and admired Bud for 49 years, many of them spent in near-by offices in Upham Hall. I remember him as a man of genuine warmth and of great integrity with an absolute commitment to Miami University and, above all, to its students.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Williamson family, but what an amazing life and career Bud had! While I never had the opportunity to meet Bud, I can now see where my friend and colleague Erik gets his spirit and strength. Myself and staff here in Chicago are very sorry for your loss.

Bud will be greatly missed. I did not know him well but always looked forward to seeing him when we visited at Lakeside. His passing will leave a hole in a loving family, a family he helped design. May His grace be with you during this difficult time. May He bless you with loving, happy memories of your loved one.

I loved my Uncle Buddy so much. What a brilliant and impressive man. Enjoyed his dry sense of humor and his memory will glow in my heart. He and my dad were quite the duo. All my love and prayers of peace and comfort to my dear family.

Blessings and hugs to your family from ours.

I did not have the priviledge of meeting Dr. Williamson, but knew him through his son, Erik. To be a veteran of WWII is special and his contributions are so much more than an obituary can convey. My thoughts are with all of the Williamson's family most especially my colleague Erik.
