Dear Karen, Kevin, Mark, and family,
I was a big Coach Eskey fan. I so enjoyed talking with him at church and seeing him at the high school these last few years. Especially touching was witnessing the friendship between him and Coach McAfee. I'm sorry to have been out of town for the calling hours. Take care. With deepest sympathy,
Karen, Kevin, Mark and family,
With deepest sympathy for your loss.
A fraternity brother, friend and always greeted me with a smile and eager to discuss Ohio sports and Athens events. He was an accomplished individual and credit to the Athens community. He will be missed.
Thank you, Coach, for all you did for so many students. Loved that crew-cut -- symbol of a bygone era
A coaches responsibility to the young men and women is critical to their development. They don't just teach us a sport, but sportsmanship. How to be responsible, caring. How to be the most complete man or woman we can be. And to try to do everything right in every part of our life. We were well coached. Thank you coach Esky, we are better because of you.
Coach Eskey made me a better person and I will always remember him for his commitment to us. We had a great time playing for him. Fair winds and following seas, Coach!
so sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you Rachel and Rebecca and family. Our deepest sympathy, John and Rita Mitchell
Extending my sympathy to the Eskey family..Mr.Eskey was a favorite teacher of mine at AHS. He was one of the most influential teachers an well liked. I also admired him seeing him jogging even in his later years.
Mark & Marla sorry to hear about your Dad. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
One of the finest men I have ever met.
Student teaching in 1965 in the Middle School with Coach was a special time. Living in Athens and sharing his memories over all these years was equally special. Thanks Don, for mentoring so many young men.
Rest in Peace Coach. You made a difference...your ripples will continue to grow....

You were an inspiration to many and especially me. I am 60 and I still tell stories about Coach. A great man and a leader.
It was an honor and pleasure to know Coach Eskey so well. He was an inspiration, a disciplinarian and ... he loved to walk, talk and watch sports, especially football. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Eskey Family. May God Bless you~
