Dr. Burt was a very kind and caring person and physician. He
cared about children and was most generous. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dr. Burt was an honorable man in every way; he was always kind and considerate towards others.
My deepest condolences to the family.
What beautiful tributes to your sweet Daddy. While reading these, it brought back wonderful memories of such a kind man who was so deeply proud and in love with his children. He will be missed. Much love to you and Bubba.
Dr. Burt was an influential part of my life. My memories are filled with his kindness, skill, and smile. He was always the first one to greet me at the ER whenever I hurt myself. He was so good to my family as a friend and a physician - always there for us. I am saddened that he is gone from this world. Bubba and Lindy know you are in my prayers and thoughts. He is looking down from Heaven very proud of you both.
My condolences. May you find comfort knowing that God is near you and is a refuge during this difficult time. John 17:3
Every person Don touched during his life time feels the sorrow that you do. Keep the memory of his smile, laughter and love close to ease the pain of his passing.

I was so privileged to have been able to work with Dr Burt at the twilight of his career! He was the epitome of a southern gentleman doctor! I loved working with him and never knew him to lose his temper or say an ill word about anyone! Very few are like Dr Burt anymore! He really made me want to be a better person and be more like him! God bless his entire family! I will forever consider doing anesthesia for Dr Burt to be sheer pleasure!
What a great life time friend. He will be loved and missed always.
Dr Burt was a great surgeon and a great man...always gentle treating everyone with dignity. I have the greatest memories of Doctors Hospital and working in the operating rm with Dr Burt. MY prayers for his family during their time of loss.

Dear family of Dr. Burt, I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Burt's death. My husband, Sheldon Goldsholl, who passed away, in 2012,and I, were patients. We really loved him and even though we were sometimes in pain, he always made us laugh and always took care of the pain as well. He was a presence in the office and a presence in life. This is truly a sad occasion. Your have my deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Rochelle Goldsholl
May God keep you in his arms! Thank you for all of your dedication to your patients at doctors' hospital. It was a honor working with you on 3 north complex. I learned so much and I truly miss our doctors' family. It truly was the best kept secret in town!
Good man that lived a good life. I still drive by River Road all the time and that house will always be the old Burt house to me. I pray God sends Lindy and the entire family the spirit of comfort as they adjust to their temporary loss.
May you rest in peace and I know there will be lots of jewels in your crown for all the kindness you have shown your patients over the years. We love you and pray God will help your family have strength to get through this.
Dr. Burt was a compassionate southern gentleman who became a wonderful physician and orthopedic surgeon. He and a group of physicians were responsible for establishing Doctors Hospital in Shreveport, LA. It was a wonderful community hospital where I worked as a student employee in surgery during the summers. He was a willing teacher to those of us aspiring to become physicians. He always was so very kind to everyone.
We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your father. So many lovely things said about an obviously wonderful man. We will keep you in our prayers and we hope you know so many are thinking of you.
Much Love, Kathy and Richard Lamb
