Dorothy's son Jack and I have known each other for over a decade. Jack and I have often shared stories about our mothers. I know that Dorothy was cherished by the entire McNamee family. My best wishes to all of you on her passing.
Cathy and family, My most sincere condolences. Her picture still looks the same that is in my memory! Wonderful great infectious smile!
Thoughts and prayers are with you today. I have such fond memories of Dorothy with my mom. She would always call me "Kimmy" and was such a special friend to my mom.
What I remember most was her gracious and endearing smile, given freely to all and often accompanied by a sweet little laugh. Her joyful spirit remains in all of you! Savor your memories. Our sympathy to the entire family, but especially to Margie, as you grieve the loss of your mother.
Thoughts and prayers are sent from the Edwards family. My Mom considered Dorothy a special friend and always enjoyed her annual club Christmas luncheon.
So very sorry to be reading this in Maryland tonight. Hugs to all.
Dear Cathy, Susie, Bizzy and the oldèr kids and families. Just a short note to tell you I am very sorry for you loss. As a child I loved playing with Cathy in your home mainly because your Mom created such a warm happy loving place for me. I have thought/prayed for her often through my own life. She was a Mom to every child. Glad my Aunt Eileen Bailey was able to be her neighbor all these years too. What a pair! I pray now that God will comfort each of you. Love Janet Brown-Andersen
Please know that thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I, too, remember her smile. How could you ever forget it, right? We were just speaking of your father and what a nice man he was as well. Keep the memories close to your heart.
To all the wonderful McNamees - I think Aunt Dorothy was there with us in spirit at the reunion, especially during all of those toasts! She would have loved all of that. What I will remember most about Aunt Dorothy is her joyful laugh and ever-present sense of humor and fun. Our deepest sympathy to all of you and your extended families.
Cathleen, Ernie, Brian, Betsy and the whole McNamee family,

To all the Mcnamee family,
I should like to extend condolances to all of you. We met in Peoria and Augie, ( my husband), Don Holmes and Bob were called back into the Marines during the Korean Conflict. My daughter, barbara, was a roommate of Barb's at Ill. for a semester. Your mother and her sister attended a Peoria luncheon At Foxfire C'C. several years ago and we talked over old times. She was always so vivacious as was your father. Please feel free to contact us if you are ever down this way. Barb is retired and now lives in Naples also.
Many great memories keep me smiling of the good times that your parents, Shirley and Don Holmes, Augie and myself had. They lived a good life, and now it is time to be reunited in eternity. .
