I came across Mr. Allebach's name in my grandfather's flight log. I believe they were in the same B-24 and was hoping to obtain more information about their unit. I am sorry for your loss, but am grateful for his service to our country. If anyone is interested in the information I have or has information they would like to share you may contact me at:
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Allebach's passing. He was our choir director at Wissahickon and even I couldn't read music he let me sing with the choir in my senior year. That meant the world to me since the previous director wouldn't even let me audition. Bless you, Mr. Allebach! (Class of '72)
I only just discovered that dear Bud, our endearing choir director at Trinity UCC had passed. I have nothing but cherished memories of this sweet man and his often dry sense of humor, his encouragement and colorful ways. The world is missing someone special now... but his presense in heaven makes it an even better place. Smitty and I send our deepest condolences to Nan and the entire family. Love, Judy and Ron Smith
I loved Mr Allebach. He was my chorus teacher and voice coach for a couple years. He believed in me and invested his personal time for me during a time that I struggled with my own abilities and identity. He brought gentleness, patience and humor to chorus and I extend my sympathies to the Allebach family.
i only knew a small part of his personality but you were blessed to know the whole man.
My sincerest condolences for the loss of this most wonderful man. Bud was a positive and encouraging mentor to me in my first teaching position at Valley Forge Jr. High and we had so much fun on our little music team which he led. He was also obliquely responsible for connecting me with David Cowburn who would become my husband. With love, Anne Giauque Cowburn
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! I enjoyed getting to know Bud and have fond memories of him from my time working with Nan at Tender Sprouts.
