Dear Hugh, This is Susie Parker Goetz, Florence Gilmore's granddaughter, I just heard about the loss of your son from Jerry, we email occasionally. My heart goes out to you and your wife and you've lost two children, I'm so very sorry. Pat's daughter Kathy was born 1963 and died of a rare cancer 1981, it still hurts like it was yesterday, you just try to adjust and live with the good memories. Fred was named after your Dad, I can hear your Dad saying "now Susie" when I'd came to your house. Fred sure accomplished a lot you must be so proud, our son is a former Marine and he also sends his sympathy and of course my Mom sends her deepest sympathy and regards.
I'm so sorry…

I met Fred several years ago at the gym in Okeechobee. I am a runner and he was getting into it. He once gave me a registration for the race for the cure in Palm Beach, He was VERY intelligent. I am sad for your loss and his passing,

So sorry about the loss of Fred. He was a great friend and one of the smartest people I ever knew. He helped me create many business and personal improvement strategies. He first suggested we push my disabled so in a half Marathon in 2006. Since then I have pushed him in 5 Half Marathons. I ran 3 full marathons with Fred in 2010 and a bunch of Half marathons. We had a great time. Always an adventure and always done on the cheap. That's what made it fun. I will miss him dearly. My next half will certainly be in His Memory!
