Randy always speaks of his father with such love and admiration. I know he will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered. Condolences to your family.
Dear Randy & Family
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of one of Glen Ellyn's finest citizens. As the former President of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, I had the privilege of working with Jerry in various capacities for the GEHS. Jerry was an active member of the Capital Development committee and was a catalyst for the creation of the Glen Ellyn History Park. He developed the first comprehensive plan for the park that helped take an idea and transform it into a reality. I was always hoping he would be able to complete architectural plans for recreating the Five Springs Mineral Pavilion - this structure fascinated all of us and he was challenged by its unusual architecture. Needless to say, he will be sorely missed. I am so grateful to have known him. He exemplifies what makes Glen Ellyn a village of volunteers and a great community to live in. May God bless him and his family.
God bless Gerald and his family. His work here is done and was done very well indeed. Gerald's life will be a source of inspiration to all of us forever.
I was devastated by this news, although I knew he had health challenges the last 2 weeks. Deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Tim, Jennifer, Jeff and especially to my cemetery colleage and brother in the Bar, Randy, and the entire family. I remember several years ago after Janice passed Gerry asking me to "hang out" with him and a friend and I sincerely consider this one of the best times of my life. Patrick Schauer, Immediate Past President, Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Dear Jenny and family,
Receive our condolences, Jerry was a wonderful, caring person and We will cherish the memories forever.
