He was our family dentist while my family lived in Gary. He was always gentle and caring, a true professional.
Dear Vicki, Hugh, and Carole,
I was just reminiscing about your dad a couple of days before I read his obituary in the Times. Our son's fiancée was interviewing us for a college project she was doing. She was asking about when we started our dental practice. The year was 1979 and your dad hired me to work as his dental hygienist. He was such a wonderful boss. I worked for him for five years until I left to work for my husband in his practice.
I enjoyed working with your dad. He was so helpful in getting us started with pointers so needed for a beginning dentist ( my husband's practice is in Munster). His experience and patience is what made him such an asset to the NW Indiana Univ. staff.
Dr. Seller also had a great sense of humor as he teased me often especially when we purchased our lot in the new golfing community of Briar Ridge. He kept telling me we were moving to Briar Patch. He really loved his golf.
Even more, he really loved all of you. I felt as if I got to know all of you as he proudly told me of each of your accomplishments. He even talked occasionally about Robert. Norma was the light of his life. She,too, was so proud of all of you. When she substituted for Mona she would wear one of Vicki's clinic coats. It seemed appropriate to her and made it seem as if she honored your vocations with her choice of wardrobe. How proud they were that you all chose to help others through your gifts and talents of health care.
Sending fond memories and prayers your way.
My sincere condolences to the Seller Family. Dr. Seller was an awesome dentist and he didn't just treat you like a patient but he also made you feel like a friend. Rest in Peace...GO IU!!
