Amy & family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was a great man who welcomed me into the community right away. I apologize for missing his service. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask.
So very sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
I work at McDonalds and Jerry would come in and order his coffee and always made me smile. He will be missed by all of us.He came in last winter and told me he was sick but he was still the same old Jerry. I'm glad he came in to see me and say goodbye.
AMY, tO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY Dave Wilson
Cindy, please accept my deepest condolences.
Amy and family,
I was saddened to read of Jerry"s passing and my heart goes out to you. I have so many wonderful memories of Jerry. I have often told the story of his knocking on our door very early one Christmas morning and startling me---I think it was still dark. I had a nightgown on and no bathrobe, and when I answered the door and saw who it was, I said, "It"s ok...it's just "good old Jerry Bowden." He always joked that I crushed his ego. One thing you can say of him is that he truly was a "one-of-a-kind," a unique individual and one of the good guys. Your family has been blessed in so many ways, and I hope all those wonderful memories you share will comfort you in the days ahead.
Sincerely, Jean (Cashdollar) Weisert

Dear Amy and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am thankful for the wonderful memories of Jerry and my Dad, Pete Carle. I hold dear the stories of their golfing and fishing adventures. Everytime I bake a Red Velvet Cake...I think of him. It is Jerry's recipe I use. Jerry will be missed, but carried in our hearts.
Sorry for your Loss Cindy
Deepest condolences on your loss. Praying for strength during this difficult time.
Dear Amy and Family,
I had the pleasure of sitting on the brick wall in the morning at the YMCA waiting for them top open up with Jerry and listen to his early morning wisdom. There was never a dull moment. He will be missed.

Dear Aunt Amy,
My love and my thoughts are with you and the whole family. Uncle Jerry will always have a special place in my heart. He was the one to first give me a set of architectural drawing tools, and show me how to use them. And that encouragement has always meant so much to me. Wish I could be there with you all.
I am so sorry for your loss of a loved one. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

AMY & FAMILY. SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.
My sincerest sympathy to Amy and the rest of the Bowden family. I only had the pleasure of knowing Jerry for a relatively short time, but I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know him and enjoy his honesty and great sense of humor, even when he was not feeling well. I know how much he loved his family and how important all of you were to him. His first concern was always for all of you instead of himself. I am sure he is in heaven and watching over all of you now. May God bless all of you as you carry on without him.
Cindy, prayers for you and your family! God bless
Amy, Amy I feel the void created by Jerry's passing. Reading his obit is such a great shock and I'm not certain of just how to express the depth of the loss I feel in his passing. Jerry has been one of my very best friends for a lot of years. To the rest of the Bowdent clan, I know that he loved each of you deeply. The depth of his love was always evident each time he spoke with me about his family over the years. He had a zest for life, the outdoors - golfing, hunting and fishing. With a very heavy heart I can only say to each of you that you are very fortunate to have such a person in your life. Please know that I, too, will be missing Jerry very much. My life is much richer for having known a good friend such as Jerry.
Amy, Rosemary and I are sorry to hear of your loss and will keep Jerry in our prayers.

Jerry was the first classmate I met after moving to Newark in 1946. His pleasing, outgoing personality set the tone for my ensuing years in Newark. My sincere condolences to his family.
