I have many memories from Kindergarten with Mrs.Beers. She was always fun and full of life.May God rest her soul.
I was a student of Julia's from 1975-1976 at Longfellow . The memories from those formative years are innumerable ; to recount but one humourous recollection : I was painting a picture of a Giraffe on one of the many paper 'canvases' which then-Ms. Beers had arranged along one of the classroom's walls. Well , I ran out of room to finish the Giraffe's head , so I simply continued the painting on the wall ! Ha ha !
I'll never forget the great times I had in Julia's class . I have thought about her *many* times in the ensuing years .
I'll see you when I get there , Julia !
-Love , John H.
Julia was my Kindergarten teacher at Longfellow school. So much more than that, Julia was a talented artist, musician, and amazing free spirit. Throughout her illness, she kept her wit, spunk, and zeal for all things life. My family and I will miss you my dear friend and mentor.
I don't have a specific memory of Mrs. Beers as my kindergarten teacher (I was in the afternoon class, so I saw her less often), but I have generally warm feelings about her, and I know she was very good at what she did. My thoughts are with the family.
