Ninfa's sprightly presence added much to our enjoyable Fulbright get-togethers. It is sad to realize the disappearance of so bright a spirit. Your own judicious presence has also gone missing from our meetings and is missed. It was an honor and a pleasure to know you both.
I am so sorry for your and your family's loss. I remember you and Ninfa fondly - as well as your beautiful Michigan home and Ninfa's wonderful cooking. She was such a positive and loving woman, who consistently advocated for her students and for quality education. She was also a thoughtful global citizen and I enjoyed talking about Asia with her. Ninfa, you, and your family are in my prayers.
Ninfa was indeed a very special person, her eyes were filled with loving kindness. I know how much you miss her, I see it in your eyes.
I am so sorry to hear about Ninfa's passing. I remember when I met you both through the Fulbright Michigan Chapter. I enjoyed talking to Ninfa at many of the Fulbright events. I remember we joked that we might be related because we shared the same surname. She was always very welcoming and warm. I was very lucky of sharing those moments with both of you. My thoughts are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time.
Dear Bob and Family: We remember Ninfa fondly from the early days of founding the Southeast Michigan Chapter of the Fulbright Association. We talked with you both on many a meeting and many a bus tour, and appreciated the thoughtful comments you made. We felt warmed by Ninfa's Smile and considerate approach to life. While we have not been in touch for a while, Vi Barkauskas sent us the sad notice yesterday, and we will inform others who knew her about this loss.
Interestingly enough, this afternoon we were at a Memorial Mass at the Philippine American Community Center of Michigan, in Southfield. While the Memorial Mass was dedicated to our close friend Alma Ambrosio Chand, Ninfa was also honored and memorialized by her friends in the Philippine Community that were there, and prayers and thoughts were dedicated to her as well.
May her memory be a blessing forever. Al & Harriet
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Dear Bob, Bobby & Pam,
Ninfa and you all had been a great friend and supporter of our family and of our Ann Arbor community. Your family had been part of our Filipino heritage here in Ann Arbor - Pamela & Bobby in our Filipino dances & rondalla, and you and Ninfa together helped our Philippine Michigan Club come alive with your generosity in supporting and hosting Filipino gatherings. Ninfa and the rest of your family will always be in our hearts.
I was so sorry to hear about Ninfa. I hope fond memories of the two of you help during this difficult time. Please know my thoughts are with you.
With sympathy, Drs. Reg Williams & Yvonne Abdoo
You will always be in my heart, and I will forever miss you-Your loving niece, "Gogo"
