There is a hole in my heart for the loss of Philip. He was a gift from God and I'm thankful that I have precious memories. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers.
It seemed like only yesterday that Philip and I spent a day together on the golf course, and later on the boat. I thought to myself then, "he was born to be a Sailor," he carried himself tall and proud, but was still fun and funny. I was deeply saddened to learn he died too soon, and even worse, I was going to be out of town for his Memorial Service. He is sorely missed.
The Knoeller family extend their heart-felt sympathy at this time of great loss. May Our Lord and Savior give you comfort throughout these days and nights. You are in our prayers.
Cathy, not sure that we have met, but I also work at Kenan-Flagler and was so touched to learn about your wonderful son and was saddened to hear of his passing. What a blessing it must be to have had him in your life and what a comfort to know that while we do not understand God's ways, we do know that as a believer in Christ, Philip is now with Him!
Dear Kathy and family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. And I pray that your faith helps you find God's peace.
I remember Philip from elementary school with my son, Matt, all the way through DSA. He was a fine young man who was called home far too soon. His service to country and love for his fellow man is an example for all to follow. May God comfort you in the days ahead.
Wish I would have had the chance to meet Philip. He an my Son Cliff where friends and I am so thankful for that. Philip is an Outstanding Young Man. I have heard an Old Saying that Marines Guard Heaven...But this Sailor will be the Chief Guard in Heaven. God Bless The Family...BIG NAVY MOM HUGS to All!
I never met Philip but he sounds like an exceptional son, friend, sailor and human being. I work with his mom and I know she was as proud of him as any mom can be of a son. I have two boys and I can only hope they grow up to be the type of man Philip was.
Linda and I are saddened by the loss of your Son and Hero. May God give you peace, and comfort you all in this trying and sad time.
Phillip will be sorely missed on this earth. I thank you for raising such a fine, caring, brave young man that I feel honored to have had the pleasure to know. Rest in Peace sweet Phillip you are gone from this earth but never forgotten.
We were so saddened to hear the news of Philip's passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time, and we hope that you find a measure of comfort from hearing how Philip made such an impact on so many people during his lifetime. He serves as an example to all of us of how to live life as Jesus would want us to. May the God of peace keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. With all our love,

I was blessed enough to attend his memorial service today and enjoyed seeing the people that he affected so much with his actions and personality. The family has proven that in the face of trying times, there is always light ahead. This mentality and personal fight represents Bordeaux's character and how he was raised. This will instill the same in others that get to witness the pure strength that is given to you by the Lord. Let him lead you to greener pastures and enjoy the times that was had with Philip. The evils and pains of this earth is no longer holding Philip back. He is in the presence of the Lord.
I never met Philip personally but I do know his mom who is a fabulous person. I know that Philip was the same from the stories I've heard! What an inspiring young man. We'll work hard to carry on helping military families in need through Active Heroes and we'll do it in Philip's honor! To the Bordeaux family, I send prayers of comfort and love to you all in your time of need. Philip is now a star shining down from Heaven on all of us!
Philip, you will be missed Dearly! May you always shine on us as you have with your soul within the past couple of years! We love you and your Family and promise to carry on your light forever! Active Heroes will honor you and your Family! Thank you for your Service and sacrifice! Much love to your Family! We are heartbroken every day over and over again!
There are moments int the life when words are not easy to be found. It will be our heart to talk then.
I did not know you Philip I just met you probably once for job reason but I will pray for you with the love of a father. And my prays will accompany you during your journey to occupy your place through the stars.
Rest in peace Phil and God bless your family

Sending love and prayers to all family and friends of this remarkable young man. May you find comfort in knowing Philip was respected by many and loved by all.
May the peace only God can offer be with you all, Phillip's family and friends. Keep him close in your hearts as I know he touched so many with his sweet kindness. Melissa told me of their friendship that lasted so many years, he was always a very respectful young man when he visited out home. I know he will be missed. Thank you God for the time we had with your son.
Life is so precious and Philip was precious. Playful and kindhearted describes how I remember this young man. He will be missed tremendously. Much love and prayer to the Bordeaux family.
