Knowing Mr. Rene has enriched the lives of all the people in our families. Condolences, and he will be missed, but his optimism and friendly good-naturedness will carry forward.
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
I first met Mr. Piegts in 1999 through his granddaughter and my dear friend and classmate Amanda. This gentle yet poignant man became affectionately known to many of Amanda's friends (myself included) as "Paw-Paw". A decade after our first meeting, I had the honor of becoming Paw-Paw's doctor. He faced every aspect of his life with the same dignity I first came to know and appreciate more than ten years ago. My condolences to Mr. Piegts' entire family, and thank you for the privilege of caring for him.
Dear Jamie & Patrick, Renee & Don, Anna Mae, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren:
Please accept our sincere sympathy and condolences over your great loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with each one of you. Mr.Piegts was always so happy and jovial each time we have been in his presence. May God Bless each one of you during this sad time. I'm sure he must be smiling and saying "I'm O.K. keep living and enjoying your life as I did". There is a poem we recently heard at a Memorial Service called "The Dash" by Linda Ellis. You may want to look it up on the internet, it may be consoling to you.
Love and God Bless,
Edmee & Joe
Rene had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a joy to be with. Although he never spoke of it, he was truly a WWII hero. He was a wonderful father and grand-father. My sympathies to Ann, I know you will miss him. It was my great pleasure to know him.
