My father was also a resident of Countryside at Cedar Lake. As his health declined, I would often arrive at mealtime to assist him. Dick was often seated at the same table with my father. Although it sometimes was difficult to understand him, we conversed. In spite of his condition, he had a positive attitude. When I asked how he was, he often replied, "Pretty good". He seemed interested in our family events and asked about them. He came across as a kind, caring individual. May our God of peace, hope, and love bring you comfort as you cope with the loss of your loved one.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
It was always a real pleasure to sing or hum old time songs with Richard in the large room on his floor looking out the windows at the beauty. I'll miss him.
So sorry to hear the news. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. He is at peace.
Was so nice to have known Dick. He always had a good story to tell and was always a complete gentleman. Good to have known you and rest in peace Dick.
