Dear Karen, Connie, Bobby & Susan,
I was having lunch with my Dad today and he told me the sad news that your Dad had passed. I am so sorry to hear that. I know my family has such fond memories growing up with your family at the Beach, Easter egg hunts, waterskiing, our Grandparents. My favorites were always getting to play with Susan! You will all be in our thoughts & prayers during this sad time. Take care, Carol Fowler Virkelyst & family
Dear Karen, Connie, Susan and Bobby - We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I'm so glad I got to visit with him in January. I will always remember our Fircrest days - family parties, Christmas at the beach. Praying for strength and peace for all of you and your families. Love Wendy, Dirk and Family
So very sorry to read about your dad. We will be keeping you in our thoughts.

Karen, Susan, Ryan and Bell family: My deepest condolences on the loss of your father/grandfather. From Karen's many stories about her family I know how much he loved and was loved. How wonderful he was able to stay in his beloved Fircrest home and be surrounded by reminders of the life he shared with your mom/grandmother and his family. May the love of family and friends help you through this most difficult time. Susan Clough
I never had the honor or meeting him, but I know Susan well enough to know he was a fine man, husband, father and grandfather. Rest in peace and love to his family.
Karen, Connie, Bobby, Susan and family,
So sorry for your loss! I loved your dad. Great family memories that I'll always hold dear. God's peace and healing to you all during this difficult time. Love, Lynn Gibson (Schartow)
So glad to have shared many years with Bob and will always picture him with his handsome smile...do hope he'll have more influence on the Republicans from above.
Sir, I did not know you, but as a fellow veteran we are forever connected. I know of you from Jerry and he spoke very highly of you and your accomplishments as a professional and as an individual. Thank you for your service to our country and preserving the honor and dignity of our great nation. Rest well and know that you will not be forgotten.
Praise be to God - Amen
Ted and I will miss our lunch partner. For the past year, Bob, Ted and I have had lunch every Thursday. We had a lot of laughs talking about our Navy days, food, family and friends. I finally got both Bob and Ted to expand their food tastes to include other items from the menus of El Toro and Jade Palace. Bob tried the Albondigas soup at El Toro's and really liked it. He couldn't order it by name, so he ordered "that two meatball soup." Manny, our waiter for our Thursday lunch called us his "homies." He said we reminded him of, "those two old farts on the muppets."
I will miss you Bob. But I will always have the memories of our laughter and lunches.
Memories are the one thing death cannot take from us......
Thank YOU for your service and for keeping our Country free. Wish we had other individuals who loved and cared for our Country enough to serve to keep our FREEDOM!!!
