Dear Leander family,
My condolences to you all, especially to you, Lynn and Susie. Although I haven't seen you on the north shore in decades, I well remember the Leander family back in the days we were all in Sacred Heart parish together. May your dad rest in peace!
Dear Adelyn and the entire Leander Clan,
Jan and I are so blessed to have reconnected with my dear godfather, Bob, in recent years. He and my dad were inseparable growing up and as young men in Chicago. (And Bob was so cute in that bunny suit!) My memories will always be of his ever-present smile and boundless enthusiasm for life. I had a hard time keeping up with him on the beach at Eastport and he was always several strokes ahead of me in the chilly Lake Michigan surf! I am so sorry that Jan and I were so far away on Sunday and could not be with you all. It's also good to know that Dad and Bob are back together again at Calvary. God bless them both!
I worked at Mather Pavilion. Bob was a special man. You could tell in his face and in his eyes his gentleness. I will never forget the experience of seeing him with the baby. He was an old pro, holding the baby, cooing and caaing. He will be missed.
Adelyn,I am devestated to have missed dear Bob.s funeral.I am in Hobe Sound and will return next week. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Nancy Byrnes Riley

Dear Leander Family - So sorry to hear about your Father passing. He was such a wonderful and fun man. I've just been thinking about all the great memories I have in your Glencoe house when I would visit Rusty. I remember his enthusiasm for Mistik Tape and all the fun he had with my parents and the Sons of O group from Oak Park.
Dear Leander Family- Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you all.Bob was one of the kindest ,most gentle souls that God ever created. We have many wonderful memories of our Dad and the wonderful times he shared with Bob.
