We are deeply saddened on the passing of Sister Sylvia, she was our dear neighbor for 12 years and a wonderful lady she was, she will be sadly missed.

Miss Billquist sparked a love of music & singing within me that has never dimmed! She gave me my first "solo" in the Christmas concert at Elkhart Lake Elementary School when I was just a little girl & kept me singing with her all throughout high school in the choir at St. Thomas! I'm still singing today because of her constant encouragement & love! The love of music Miss Billquist gave to her students is one of the most wonderful gifts I've ever received. Miss Billquist will be greatly missed by all those who had the opportunity to know & love her.
I love you and miss you so much! I wish I could have been able to make it to your memorial service. You did so much good for so many and gave so much love to us all! You were an outstanding Aunt!

Miss Billquist was a Saint! She touched many kids lives! I remember something she told me one of the last times I saw her and showed her pictures of my children...she said those are my grandchildren too! She was an amazing women!

the church is quiet, the stage is dark as the creator welcomes a favorite songbird home to roost. Paradise is singing just a little better today.

She is remembered often as our choir rehearses - some members having been her students - some her teaching colleagues. She will always be recalled fondly.
Ms. Billquist was a fantastic music teacher & had a wonderful sense of humor! I don't know who made each other laugh more! Heaven will be a more musical & loving place now that you're there.

Miss Billquist was a very special person in my life. Through my school years we were best friends. I spent a lot of time at her house making cookies and talking and learning guitar. She was my shoulder to lean on always. When she became the organist at St Thomas. My joy of seeing her every Saturday was unbelieveable. Rest in peace Miss Billquist I will miss you!!!!
