Burnis Baker Brown, 83, went to eternal rest September 26, 2013. Burnis was born in Waldron, Arkansas on November 14, 1929. He was the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Acorn High School in 1948 and entered the U. S. Air Force. He began his career with Arkansas Electric Cooperatives in 1963 and retired as Superintendent in 1995. Burnis loved to spend time with his family and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

Burnis was preceded in death by his parents, Georgie Hinton and Audrey Aurora Gore Brown ; three brothers, Max Brown, Billy Brown, and Kirby Brown; and three sisters, Beryl Hudgens, Winna Tharp, and Winona Blalock.

Burnis is survived by his loving wife, Faye Brown of Camden, AR; two daughters, Lori Foster and her husband, Donnie of Camden, AR, and Angie McClellan of Camden, AR; three grandsons, Jacob Foster and his wife, Christina of Greenwood, LA, Spencer Musgrave of Camden, AR, and Hinton Foster of Camden, AR; a granddaughter, Andrea McClellan of Camden, AR; a great-grandson, Gavin Foster of Greenwood, LA; many cousins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013. Services will be 10:00 a.m Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Camden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 121 Harrison Ave, Camden, AR 71701.
