Mr. Wolcott was the kind of man that makes a community strong. I have two very specific memories of him, from long ago.

#1 was when I was a young man playing golf at the Corry Country Club. The 2nd hole there was a long par three where you couldn't see the green from the tee. While playing behind Mr. Wolcott, and looking on from near the 1st green, I watched him make a hole in one. I saw it happen; he didn't. It's the only time I've actually seen a hole in one.

#2 was when I graduated from Corry Area High School in 1971. Mr. Wolcott was the president of the school board then, and in that role he greeted and shook hands with all of us seniors after we received our diplomas. It was a beautiful, late spring sunny evening on the Corry High Football field, and Mr. Wolcott's bright smile and strong handshake are forever burned into my memory, fondly.

My condolences to his family, with the hope that they can all appreciate that Mr. Wolcott clearly lived an important and full life.

I will always remember Mr. Wolcott as a refined and gentle man. He had a smile that would light up a room. I am so sorry for your loss Linda, Julie and family. May your hearts heal quickly with the loving support of all your friends and family and be able to speak of the special times with him without a heavy heart.
