Liebe Margarete, Britta & Niels

Franz and I happen to be a roommates at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage in 1960. Surprised to hear that his parents were also of Swiss ancestry. We explored Alaska together in his new 1959 Buick . Franz was a dear friend.
After our Air Force stay we got together a few times in the LA area.
Franz was very intelligent, he could attain whatever he set his mind on and alway in good mood. Sorry to hear about his passing on.

Dr. Froelicher was a professor of mine at USM, I was just telling my co workers about our time in Switzerland at field camp. What an experience it was! He helped me to expand my life experiences and taught me a ton about geology. I'm sorry to hear he is gone.

I worked vey closely with Franz while on tour in Iraq in 2003. He was a true friend, and I will miss him deeply-all my best.
