Such a good man & friend to all that knew him. I never saw him without a smile. May he rest in peace.
I was blessed to run into Joe several months ago after losing contact with him for many years. As usual we hugged and then we talked over each other like we always did years ago, like 35 years ago !!!! Just like no time had gone by , picking up where we left off. I have many stories but I will tell one....my daughter is 33 years old , when she was 5 years old one night the doorbell rang and of course she ran to the door with me close behind her. She opened the door and it was Santa Claus , wow her little face lite up and she was just amazed that Santa was at her house. Santa made a little girl very happy that night .....Joe thank you for being in my life, I will always have a special place in my heart for you. Now my friend you are with our Heavenly Father !!! And I am sure you were greeted by HIM with the words .....job well done, my son......i will miss you but I know you are in a better place....love always, Carolyn B. Maes. ( 35 years of knowing a "good man" was a gift to me)
Joe was a dear man who loved the Lord. We were blessed to know him during our time in Slidell after Hurricane Katrina.

Joe was a dear friend of mine for over 30 years. He always had a smile on his face and never said a bad word about anyone. He loved the Lord and it showed in the way he lived and treated his family and friends. He would give you his last cent if you needed it. Joe you will be missed more than you could ever imagine. Love you dearly.
