My name is Bob Mendez. Your wife was my sons first Aide at El Roble School .....if memory serves me right, it's been awhile. He is now 25 years old. We met Kim probably 20-21 years ago. My son was born without arms or legs, and I now believe in things I didn't prior. It's true what they say...that God makes up for it in other ways. Kim was so special and left me and my wife with a feeling of comfort which was hard to come by back then. We were very young to be chosen as Robert's parents, but what we didn't know then is that the people you surround yourself with make all the difference in the world. Thank God for Kim. She helped us through some very hardtimes. It was people like Kim that kept us going when hope was so far from reality. Its hard to explain what is was and still is like to raise a son/angel like Robert, but know Kim helped us through some very hard times. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I wish there was more we could do....and if there is, please don't hesitate to ask. If you were able to mention Roberts name to her, I'm sure she'd smile from ear to ear and be just as proud of him as we are of him and what he's done with himself. Never give up Chris, that's something I've been telling myself for years...and I think its been working. God bless you and your family.

If the family wishes, I have some of Kim's original artwork and poetry.
To Mrs. Ordaz's family~
Our prayers continue to be with you. Her absence at the school is felt daily. I am happy to contribute to the memorial playground that will be constructed in her honor. It is so fitting, as she was so much about exploring the joys of life and play.
I am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss. Kim's mother, Judy was our daughter's teacher on Kwaj. The Holzrichter Family
