This noble, honest man possessed integrity of the rarest caliber and is the benchmark I still strive toward. As a child, I didn't always understand his ways, but as a man I developed a profound admiration for his strengths and his character. I treasure my memories of our conversations which were sometimes years apart. He inspired me more than he ever knew and his irreplaceable presence is deeply missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this transition that we all must face in our lives. I have warm memories of times I spent in your home during the years Marilyn, Karen and I studied together.
Karen; you have been with me through some of the most painful losses in my life and I wish I could be with you now. You are in my heart and in my thoughts.
I worked in the San Leandro CHP office in 1967 -1970 and had the priviledge to know Len while I worked there. I was there when he was injured in the motocross accident . I retired to Jackson in 2001 and ran into Len at our Pine Grove breakfast a few years ago. He was a fine person and a good officer. May he rest in Peace.
