Like most of his students will tell you, Mr Clark was my favorite teacher at Briarwood High. He always went out of his way to make sure I understood the material and even called my house to tell me I got an A in his Calculus class, which meant I got "Super Honor Roll" my senior year! (To this date I think he rounded my grade way up, but he knew how important it was to me and how hard I worked.) Upon graduation in 1981, he gave me a book called "Everywhere God" that is a compilation of spiritual writings by his sister, Sara Jean. I am holding this book in my hand right now, looking at his script where he called me the "brightest star." If I was a star, it was because of him. I have raised two children of my own and helped them each navigate 12 years in Fulton County schools. They never had the benefit of a teacher like Mr. Clark. He left a lasting impression on my life and this book continues to hold a place of honor in my home. You know him as a special son, husband and father. Now you hopefully are also reminded of how special of a teacher he was.
